Carol Chitty

I have many memories of our growing up years. My perspective as one of the youngest cousins was that Carol never took herself or life events too seriously. She had a droll sense of humor and could make anyone laugh with just an eye roll or one of her many, many puns or plays on words. She never missed sending a card for not only birthdays but every holiday, big or small. I know Carol is finally with her Bob

I have many memories of our growing up years. My perspective as one of the youngest cousins was that Carol never took herself or life events too seriously. She never missed sending a card for not only birthdays but every holiday, big or small. I know Carol is finally with her Bob after all these years. Missing you but rejoicing in your release from pain and entry to a wonderful eternal life!

She was also energetic and outgoing with a real zest for life. As kids, she was the first girl to be born among the "Hay" cousins. Her brothers (Les and Loren) and my brother (Mike) were the "guys" in her early life. This did not daunt her one bit. I recall that she was able to get us fellows to play with her and her wonderful doll house. (It even had a roof that hinged up so that we could see into it.) In retrospect, this was typical Carol...she could engage you into her world and you would enjoy it.
We will miss her, however, we take partial solace in the fact that her earthly pains have come to a conclusion. We also look forward to the day when we shall see her again. Can you imagine the game of softball she will be able to play?

Carol and I have been friends for many years. We worked together in the kitchen at Colo-NESCO school. She was a genuine person, she put her family first at all times and no matter how bad a day she'd had,she never showed it.I know God has a special place for her in Heaven.
No more pain, Carol.

Carol and I spent many happy times growing up near each other in South Dakota. Ballgames (she was a great softball player!), Christmas and birthday get-togethers with our families, the summer she and I spent in Oregon picking berries, family reunions. She was a strong person, always upbeat even during trying times, and has a strong faith. Has, not had, because I'm sure her faith and spirit are a strong presence in heaven. We miss you!
