Dorothy May Smith

Dorothy has left a dear memory to me, as I will always remember how she was so generous with her time, talent, and treasure, as she created the 60 plus christmas stockings for the community cupboard this Christmas. What a generous lady, what an inspiration for us all. My sympathy is with Pat and all her family. May they take comfort in knowing what a wonderful example of Christ Dorothy showed all of us. I am certain the angels all gathered and rejoiced when she entered the kingdom.

I am sooo sorry to hear of Dorothy's passing. I was best friends with Patty for several years through our grade and high school years. I remember numerous sleep overs at their house and how much she really seemed to enjoy them, I have so many memories but these are my fondest ones. My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to all of Dorothy's family... and Patty, I will see you at the church on Friday morning. Will be nice to see you again, even though I wish it was under different circumstances.

Fear friends, What a loss to our little town, Dorothy was a quiet person of stability and caring, she participated weekly in our prayer group. Whenever the church was in need of helping hands, there she was. We shall miss her presence and intellect. Our library and book club were a source of enjoyment to her. The family was all important to her, she would update us on their health and accomplishments. She and Ralph will be united in Paradise.

The love and kindness Dorothy always showed will be very missed. The memories she leaves behind will be treasured by all. I, personally, feel privileged to have been part of her life. She took me in as her own granddaughter and I couldn't have loved her more if we were actually related. One specific memory I will always treasure is the time that we were "snowed in" at Virginia's house during a Colorado blizzard. Terri and I were baking, Dorothy taught us lessons that day that we both still use and talk about.
